FORSEE’s consortium partner, the European DIGITAL SME Alliance, hosts its annual DIGITAL SME Summit on 16 November in Brussels. The summit brings together industry leaders, policymakers and academics to discuss how Europe can turn its technological sovereignty ambitions into concrete action.

European SMEs have contributed to FORSEE’s research by reflecting on what successful AI and successful digital policies look like for small and medium-sized enterprises. Those discussions will continue during the summit. The programme asks how demand for European technology can be boosted, how European SMEs can scale up, and how to build business links between sovereign European tech providers and tech users.

The summit’s speakers include Philippe Aghion (Nobel Prize in Economics 2025, Collège de France), Teresa Ribera (Executive Vice-President for a Clean, Just and Competitive Transition, European Commission) and Andrius Kubilius (Commissioner for Defence and Space, European Commission).
