FORSEE researchers at the ADAPT Centre want to know where people get their news about AI and which sources they trust. The anonymous survey takes 5 to 10 minutes and is open to adults anywhere.

News about AI reaches people through various channels: newspapers, podcasts and social media feeds, for example. As part of FORSEE, researchers at the ADAPT Centre, based at Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin, are running a survey on these news habits. They want to find out where people follow AI news, how much they trust those sources, and who is shaping public opinion about AI.

The survey is open to anyone aged 18 or over, wherever they live, whether they follow AI news daily or hardly at all. It takes 5 to 10 minutes to complete. No identifiable personal data is recorded, although the survey asks for some basic demographic information, similar to a census.

The responses will feed into the ADAPT Centre’s current research on AI risks and harms and into FORSEE’s work on what successful AI should mean for European society.
